Rental Policies
1. A deposit of 50% is required at
the time you make your reservation. We accept Mastercard
or Visa. The balance is due thirty days in advance of your arrival date.
You may pay with check, cash; however, we require a Mastercard
or Visa on file for security purposes.
2. Rentals are subject to 12%
sales/hotel tax.
3. In addition to the rental rate,
a $200 cleaning fee is applicable ($100 for one level). This fee covers the
basic cleaning service for the cottage, including washing the
linens/towels. Any
unusual cleaning charges, such as cleaning carpets, upholstery, and
furnishings, excessive cleaning of bathrooms, will be passed on to you.
Please do not move the furniture. Charges for any missing or broken items
will be your responsibility.
4. Cancellations made at least 30
days prior to your arrival date incur a cancellation fee of $50.
Cancellations made 14-29 days before your arrival date forfeit the 50%
deposit. If a reservation is cancelled less than 14 days before your
scheduled arrival, you are responsible for the entire rental rate,
including tax. Cancellations must be received in writing.
5. Upon arrival, you'll find keys
in the lock box on the front door. When your final payment is received, we
will send you a final confirmation and the lock box number(s).
6. Ample parking is available
under the house. The right-hand side of the carport is reserved for guests
in the lower level; the left-hand side of the carport is reserved for
guests in the upper level.
7. Check-in time is 3:00PM;
check-out time is 10:00AM. If you have not departed by 10:00AM and our
housekeeping staff is unable to access the cottage when they arrive, you
will be charged an additional nights stay.
8. No refunds will be given for
early departure unless Tybee Island is under a tropical storm/hurricane
warning issued by the National Hurricane Center. If an evacuation of the
island does become necessary, you will be refunded on a prorate basis.
9. There is no daily housekeeping
service. Linens and bath towels are included the cottage and there is a
washer/dryer for your use. Beach towels are included for your use. Please
do not take the bath towels to the beach.

Departing responsibilities: Please
leave the cottage as you found it. Trash is to be discarded in the bins in
the carport. Dishes are washed and put away. If you have a load of dishes in
the dishwasher to wash, you may turn it on and leave it running before you
leave. Please empty the refrigerator. Please remove your sheets and any
towels you have used and place them in the laundry room. It would be helpful
if you would start a load of laundry washing before you leave. Please return
the keys to the lock box on the front door. Please leave the cottage “broom
clean.” Any additional cleaning charges will be passed on to you.
(Housekeeping let me know if there is any damage or extra cleaning, such as
splashes on the walls, oven a mess, etc.)
11. This is a non-smoking cottage.
Feel free to smoke on the porches, but dispose of your cigarettes butts
properly-butts found in the yard or plants will incur an additional cleaning
charges.
12. The cottage is not rented to
anyone under 25 years of age. The number of guests shall not exceed 22
persons in the cottage. Arrangements can be made for visitors in the event
of a wedding or meeting.
13. If we concluded the property is
being used in an inappropriate manner, we reserve the right to expel the
entire party with no refund. The house is located in a quite
neighborhood and a noise ordinance is in effect. Guests who violate this
ordinance will be expelled from the property immediately without refund.
14. Canine companions are allowed on
an individual bases. A separate policy covers pet visitation. No feline
friends are allowed. Owner allergic-sorry!
